Michael Boyd Swinney

Michael Boyd Swinney, 54, died Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Michael was a pipefitter by trade, (one of the best), according to his coworkers. He was also a great mechanic, basically, a jack of all trades. you never had to wonder where you stood with him, because he had no problem letting you know, Basically no filter. you could count on Swinney to say what everybody else was thinking. He was hardheaded and stubborn, but he loved with his whole heart and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. There will be a visitation held Thursday August 12th, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00PM until 9:00 PM followed by a funeral service Friday August 13th, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home starting at 2:00 PM, interment will take place Friday August 13th 2021 at Burge Cemetery.
Michael is survived by his siblings Debra Johnson, and husband Fred, of Deweyville, TX, Billy Swinney of Devil's Pocket, TX, David and wife Jeanie Swinney of Devil's Pocket, TX, Jo Revere of Orange, TX, James Swinney, of Vidor, TX, William Swinney and wife Lauren of Houston, TX, and L.J. Puente and wife Sonja, of Houston, TX, as well as his bonus brothers Donald and Lane and Step mother Lynn. Michael Swinney is preceded in death by his grandparents J.D. and Linnie Hatcher, and Tim and Oleta Swinney, his parents Bill and Patsy Swinney, and his brother Timothy Swinney.
Left to carry his memory are his wife and son, Deanna and Dempsy Swinney, Numerous nieces and nephews, and friends and coworkers that he considered extended family.
