Michael J. Smith, 47, of Vidor died Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A lifelong resident of Vidor, he was a self-employed carpenter’s helper. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. He is survived by his son Michael Chad Smith of Beaumont, parents James and Delores Smith of Vidor, brothers Donald Gene Smith, Gary Wade Smith, Randy James Smith, and Steven Glenn Smith, and sister Penny Renee Bond all of Vidor.
