Michael Joseph Walhood

Michael J. Walhood, 52, of Vidor died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at his residence. A native of Beaumont, he has lived in Vidor for 30 years, and was a truck driver with Coca Cola for 20 years. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2008 and from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. Michael is survived by his wife Grace Walhood, daughters Sherri Jones and husband Shane, and Becky Walhood all of Vidor, mother Merline Walhood of Vidor, brother Ben Walhood, Jr. and wife Paulette of Bridge City, four grandchildren: Ashtin, Tristan, Brenton, and Marten, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to DuPont-Goodrich Federal Credit Union, in his memory
