Morris Gary Jacks, Sr. ,74, of Vidor died Thursday September 17, 2009 at his residence. He was a native of Jacksonville, TX and was a longtime residence of Vidor. Morris was a machinist and was owner/operator of Jacks Machinist Works in Rose City for 37 years. He was a member of the IBEW Local # 479 in Beaumont. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Del-Rose Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. Morris is preceded in death by his son David Scott Jacks, sisters Sherry Dell Jacks Nobles and Thelma Jo Jacks Lange, brothers Stephen Douglas Jacks, Jr., Malcom Kelly Hallam, Hugh Bradley Hallam.
