Morris Robert 'Moe' Gillespie, Jr.

Moe Gillespie, Jr., 52, of Vidor died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at his residence. A native of Corpus Christi, TX., he has lived in Vidor for 48 years, and was a steel worker with Gerdeau Ameristeel for 32 years. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Moe was preceded in death by his parents Morris Robert "Big Moe"Sr and Betty Gillespie. He is survived by his wife Faye Gillespie of Vidor, son Robert Cornelius Gillespie of Huntsville, AL., daughters Stacy Leigh Thedford and husband Cesar Simon Vasquez of Austin, and Stephanie Lynn Kelley and husband Johnathan of Lumberton, sisters Gillian Gillespie of Vidor, and Robbie Williford and husband Roy of Beaumont, grandchildren: Justin Sample, Garrett Kelley, Dayton Gillespie, and Saul Simon-Thedford, four nieces: Carley Williford, Mollie Williford, Jaime Williford, and Whittney McFarland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society Orange Unit, 755 S. 11th St, Ste 212, Beaumont, Texas 77701.
