Norma Jean Dodge

Norma Dodge, 73, of Vidor died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Norma was born January 8, 1936 in Starks, LA to Oswald and Effie Martinez. She was a homemaker and a longtime resident of Vidor. Norma was an active member for over 30 years in Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor with Reverend David Hall officiating, burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Norma was preceded in death by her son Chuck Dodge. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Charles Dodge of Vidor, son Donald Dodge and his wife Holly of Hemphill, TX, daughter Marsha Granger and her husband Alvin of Starks, LA, brother Allen Martinez and his wife Jean of Starks, LA, 3 grandsons Derek, Dustin and Daniel Dodge, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws Christine Dennis and her husband Gene of Albuquerque, NM, Dolly Sherman of Beaumont, TX, Beth Dodge of Lumberton, TX and Lillie Mae Hyatt of Grand Bay, AL, daughter-in-law Lori Welch and her husband Kent of Buna, TX,
