Obanetta 'Obie' Joyce Burge

Obie Burge, 58, of Vidor died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at her residence. A native of Athens, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Obie was a longtime caregiver for New Creations in Houston. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Burge Cemetery in Vidor. Obie is survived by her husband Mark Burge, son Scott Sims of Lake Jackson, TX, daughters Shannon Rogers-Chastain of Famersville, TX, Laurie Sharp of Arlington, TX, Crystal Rogers of China, TX, brothers Kirk Taylor of Riverside, TX, sisters Cloanne Denison of Spring, TX, Candace Taylor of Baytown, TX, Christian Taylor of Conroe, TX, Tammy Taylor of Bryan, TX, and 9 grandchildren.
