Ocie Hoosier

Ocie Hoosier, 90, of Buna, Texas died Thursday, May 27, 2004 at his residence. A native of DeQuincy, LA., he lived in Rose City for 30 years before moving to Buna 10 years ago. Ocie was a retired painter with local 108 in Beaumont, TX. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 30, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will begin Saturday, May 29, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Ocie is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Joyce, sons, Odis Hoosier of Rose City, TX., Leroy Simmons of Nashville, TN., Lloyd Simmons, and Benjamin Simmons both of DeQuincy, LA., and Dolvin Simmons of Vidor, TX., daughter, June Campbell McDonald of Kirbyville, TX., thrity-four grandchildren, and numerous great, and great-great grandchildren. Ocie is preceded in death by his sons, T.L. Simmons, and H.B. Simmons, his daughters, Norma Hoosier, and Elsie Simmons, and his sister, Katy Simmons.
