Olean Williams, 98, of Vidor died Friday, October 1, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. A native of Comanche, TX., she has lived in Vidor for 56 years, and was a homemaker. Funeral services will be Monday, October 4, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Nail-Haggert Funeral Home in Daingerfield, TX., with burial to follow at Clark Cemetery in Daingerfield, TX. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Olean is survived by her sons, Thomas Williams and wife Mary, and James Williams and wife Beverly all of Vidor, daughters, Edna Jordan and Husband Paul of Vidor, Mary E. King and husband Bailey of Nacogdoches, TX., and Merle Redd and husband Raymond of Lufkin, TX., fifteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and twenty-two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Emma Arthur, husband of 43 years Bertie Williams, four brothers, and seven sisters.
