Oneida Jannette Poole

Oneida J. Poole, 83, of Vidor died Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Elton, LA., she resided in Vidor for the past 37 years. Oneida retired after 22 years as a School Teacher with South Park in Beaumont and was a member of the NEA, TSTA, South Park Teachers Association and Alpa Delta Kappa Honorary Teachers Soroity . She was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2004 at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home. Oneida is survived by her husband Don C. Poole, Jr of Vidor, TX., son: Don W. Poole of Lumberton, TX., daughter: Donna J. Fowler of Reston, VA., brother: Buddy Hebert of Bevil Oaks, TX., 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS: donation can be made, in memory of Oneida, to: Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor or Kidney Foundation of America.
