Oscar Lee Lout

Oscar L. Lout, 80 of Vidor died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was born in Joaquin, TX., and lived in Smackover, Arkansas before moving to Vidor 39 years ago. He was a operator controlman, and a supervisor in Saudi Arabia for Mobil Chemical before retiring after 40 years of faithful service. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II, and was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church of Vidor. He had two passions, being a longtime Arkansas Razorback fan, and a longtime Dallas Cowboy fan. Funeral services will be Friday, September 16, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor, with entombment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Beth Middleton Lout mother of his children, parents, Sidney and Jewel Lout, brothers, Clinton Lout, and S. L. Lout, and sister, Christine Short. He is survived by his wife of 1 ½ years Mary Elaine Lout of Vidor, son Scott Lynwood Lout of Vidor, daughters, Cindy Lou Blair and her husband Byron of Vidor, and Melanie Kathleen Lout of Lumberton, TX., brothers, Lamar Lout of El Dorado, AR., and Charles Lout of Shreveport, LA., sisters, Lurlene Burton of El Dorado, AR., Lila Johnston of Indianapolis, IN., Mickey Boyd of Marrieta, GA., Honey Patterson of Eldorado, AR., Myrna Johnson of Fayetteville, AR., LaRue Lewallen of Odessa, TX., and Betty LeBrescu of Hot Springs, AR., two grandchildren: Shawn Blair, and Mariah Blair both of Vidor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
