Blue Oldbury, 80, of Vidor died Thursday at his residence. Blue was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. He was owner operator of C.R.C Motor Company and Oldbury Mobil gas station on Hwy 105, among other business in Vidor over the years. Blue was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served his country in the US Army. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 7:00 pm Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Blue was preceded in death by his first wife Norma Lynn Keen Oldbury, daughter Barbara Oldbury Tamayo, granddaughter Jennifer Smith, sister Modesta Willey. He is survived by his wife Jean Oldbury of Vidor, TX, daughter Rene Keen Shaw of Las Vegas, NV, Michele Oldbury Ochoa, and Juliann Oldbury Johns both of Vidor, TX, brothers Burdette Oldbury, Dean Oldbury, Delmer Oldbury and Blaine Oldbury all of Vidor, TX, sisters Freddie Peck, Joissine Tucker and Nelwyn Marion all of Vidor, TX, 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
