Patricia Melanson Riley

Patricia Ann Melanson Riley, 79, passed away on Friday, March 8th, 2024, at her home in Kountze. Raised in Rose City, Patricia recently made Kountze her home. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Beaumont, where her faith was a guiding light in her life.

Known for her compassionate nature, Patricia's main pastime was caring for others. She found immense joy in spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A service in Patricia's honor will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church Saturday March 16, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.

Patricia is survived by her children: Greg Melanson of Vidor, TX; Chris Hale and wife Blanca of Woodlands, TX; Dannis Melanson and wife Amanda of Ardmore, OK; Glen Melanson of Vidor, TX; and Jack Anthony Riley and wife Thya of Allentown, PA. She is also survived by her brother, James Reeves and wife Rita of Beaumont, TX, sister-in-law Jo Alice Hodges of Conroe, TX, along with 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Riley, parents Leroy and Evelyn Reeves and Bernice and Bill Hodges, brothers Dennis Reeves and Roy Hodges, and daughter-in-law Rebecca Melanson.

Patricia's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
