Patrick James Flannigan

Patrick J. Flannigan, 79, of Vidor died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, TX. A native of Detroit, MI., he lived in Orange for 42 years before moving to Vidor 7 years ago. He retired from the United States Navy were he proudly served his country, and also retired as a maintenance technician from Texas Polymer-Schulman in Orange. He was a member of the American Legion, Lloyd Grubbs post in Orange, and was a member of the Fleet Reserve. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Wilkinson Cemetery in Orange, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Flannigan, son James Allen Shavers, and the mother of his children Minnie Powell Flannigan. He is survived by his wife of 7 years Betty Jones Flannigan of Vidor, sons Michael Flannigan and his wife Angie of Orange, and Mike Jones and his wife Rhonda of Vidor, daughters Colleen Hill and her husband Thomas, and Trisha Anderson and her husband Bobby all of Orange, Stacey Bagwell and her husband Greg, and Audrey McDonald and her husband Donnie all of Vidor, daughter-in-law Diane Shavers of Baton Rouge, LA., sixteen grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
