Patrick Wayne Thomas, Sr

Patrick W. Thomas, Sr., 80, of Vidor died Monday, May 5, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Patrick was a resident of Vidor since 1961. He was a retired boat captain with Moran Towing and a member of the Seafarers International Union. Patrick was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor, Texas. He was also a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War era. Funeral services with be held at 10:00am on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bridge City, TX. A gathering for family and friends will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 with a Christian vigil beginning at 7:30pm at Memorial Funeral Home. Patrick was preceded in death by the mother of his children Norma Thomas and daughter Karin Thomas. He is survived by his wife Linda Thomas of Vidor, sons Patrick Thomas, Jr. of New Braunfels, TX, and Stan Thomas of Groves, TX. He is also survived by daughters Sandy Andrews of Vidor, TX and Angela Kelley of Beaumont, TX, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
