Rachel Dianne Chandler

Rachel D. Chandler, 70 of Vidor died Sunday, May 3rd, 2020 at Oakwood Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Beaumont, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Throughout her life, She worked various jobs serving the public and ran her own daycare for many years. She was the 1st city councilwoman and proudly served the citizens of Vidor, Texas. She loved serving in children’s ministry for the United Pentecostal Church. She began working bus ministry with brother Tom and sister Bobby Reynolds at New Life Tabernacle of Beaumont, Texas. Later in her life she became a member of Eastgate United Pentecostal church of Vidor, Texas and worked in the children’s ministry department. She loved to teach children about Jesus Christ. Arrangements were handled by Memorial Funeral HOme of Vidor. Rachel was preceded in death by her father Fred Howard Tynes, mother Patsy Rachel Tynes and son Fred Eugene Matthew Tynes. She is survived by her husband Dale Ray Chandler of Vidor, Texas, 3 sons: Dale R. Chandler and wife Jennifer of Woodville, Texas, Raymond L. Tynes and wife Laveta of Lumberton, Texas, Delbert R. Chandler and wife Amber of Summerville, South Carolina, 2 brothers: Fred Issac Tynes and Stephanne Averett of Brookland, Texas, Joe Glynn Tynes and wife Linda of Vidor, Texas, 2 sisters: Marsha Rene Tynes Bryant of Orange, Texas, Christine Gale Tynes Jacks of China, Texas, 11 grand children and 9 great grand children. She was an Acts 2:38 Holy Ghost filled servant of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
