Raymond Donnis Williamson, Sr.

R. Donnis Williamson, 70, of Vidor died Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Vidor, he resided in Beaumont while on the Beaumont Police Department and moved to Vidor in 1973. Donnis was the lead Court Security Officer at Jack Brooks Federal Building in Beaumont and retired as Captain after 28 years with the Beaumont Police Department. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2005 at Pine Forest Baptist Church , under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with entombment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home. Donnis is survived by his wife LaVerne Williamson of Vidor, TX, sons: Raymond D. Williamson, Jr and his wife Linda, Lonnie Williamson and his wife Sherri all of Vidor, TX, daughters: Angie Fontenot and her husband Randy of Deweyville, TX, Denise Shandy of Vidor, TX, brother: Marvin Williamson of Victoria, TX, Joe Williamson of Burkeville, TX, sister: Janie Landry of Normangie, TX, grandchildren: Shon Williamson, Amber Randall, Chadd Cassell, Erin Cassell, Darren Jones, Angelica Nequent, Tiffany Allen, Dereck Allen, Kara Dewberry, Kim Kirtland, and 9 great-grandchildren.
