Raymond Truett Edgar

Truett Edgar, 83, of Vidor died Monday, March 14, 2011 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Merryville, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Truett was retired from Central Freight Lines in Beaumont after 35 years of service. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. Truett was a member and Deacon Emeritus at First Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, March 18, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 9:00 pm Thursday, March 17, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Vidor. Truett is survived by his wife Doris Ray Edgar, daughters Deborah Edgar , Phyllis Seals and her husband Donnie all of Vidor, TX, brothers Tim Edgar of Beaumont, TX, Tommy Edgar of Lumberton, TX, sister Billie Jean Veale of Kountze, TX, grandchildren Cara Sheppard and her husband David of Montgomery, TX, Dana Fletcher and her husband Dan of Bridge City, TX, Travis Seals and his wife Christina of Mauriceville, TX, 9 great-grandchildren: Matthew, Taylor, Lauren and Luke Sheppard, Dillon and Darin Fletcher, Tanner, Tyler and Avery Seals.
