Richard Ames

Richard Ames, 83 a longtime resident of Vidor, died Thursday, June 11th, 2015 at his home. He was an avid radio control airplane modeler who enjoyed being around his friends in the airplane club. Richard is survived by his son, Michael and wife Marie Frances Ames, 2 sisters, Elaine Wood and Dolores Custer, and 2 brothers, Rodney Ames and Mike Ames. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Eddie Ames and Bobby Ames. Richard was joined in death by his longtime companion, Edna Phillips. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation is entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
