Robert Brown

Bob Brown, 86, of Vidor died Monday, September 22, 2008 in Vidor. A native of Red Cut, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Bob was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge were he was a 32 degree mason, and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Vidor. He was a retired Millwright and past president of Millwright Local Union #2484 in Orange. Bob served his country in the US Army during WWII as a MP. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Lois Brown, son Fredric Andrew Brown, his parents Clay and Nannie Brown, and his grandson Robert H. 'Bobby' Brown . He is survived by his sons Byron Patterson of Brazoria, TX, Howard Brown and his wife Elsie of Vidor, TX., 6 grandchildren: Marc Patterson and his wife Becky, Cherri L. Palmer and her husband Doug, David G. Brown and his wife Oleta, Vali Simmons and her husband Jay, Michael Patterson and his wife Sheila, and Salli Brown, nine great grandchildren, and his first cousin Jodean Krack and her husband Jerry.
