Robert F. Smith, 91, of Vidor died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at his residence. A native of Port Arthur, he was a longtime resident of Vidor, and was a retired superintendent with Texaco Refinery. Robert served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Smith, parents John and Anna Smith, brothers John W. Smith, William Smith, and Glenn Smith, sisters Emmeline Smith, Ruth Smith, Alice Smith, and Gladys Smith. Robert is survived by his sons Thomas C. Smith and wife Anna of Tyler, TX., Todd Smith of Vidor, and Jason Smith of Florida, daughters Amy Reblin and husband Dennis of San Antonio, Judy Jarrell and husband Kenneth of Vidor, Sharon Kyles of Humble, JoDale Miller and husband Ralph of Cypress, TX., Deborah Hoffpauir and Santos Erasmo of Galveston, brother Harold 'Mickey' Smith of Lumberton, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
