Robert James Godeaux

Robert J. Godeaux, 69, of Vidor died Sunday, December 28, 2003 at his residence. A native of Church Point, LA., he has lived in Vidor for 65 years, and he retired from N.L. Shaffer after 45 years as a electrician. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2003 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Wanda Godeaux, sons, Gary Reynolds of Corpus Christi, TX., Randy Reynolds of Vidor, TX., and Robby Godeaux of Austin, TX., daughters, Carolyn McGuire of Colmesneil, TX., Arleen Dancer of Chireno, TX., Terri Crawford of Warren, TX., brothers, Vincent Godeaux, Patrick Godeaux, and Hubert Godeaux all of Vidor, TX., sisters, Nora Youngblood, and Mary Ann Minton both of Vidor, and Jane McDonald of Port Neches, TX., grandchildren, Daniel Simons, Tim McGuire, Bryan McGuire, Tammy Glaze, Donald Dancer, Paul Dancer, Andy Dancer, Kristyn Reynolds, Quinten Shane Reynolds, Shana Reynolds, Cary Miller, Katie Godeaux, Cara Sklar, Matt Crawford, and Cody Crawford. Great grandchildren, Mason McGuire, Madelyn Glaze, Lakota Reynolds, Stephanie, and Robert.
