Robert Lee Rogers

Robert L. “Junior” Rogers, 68, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at his home in Jasper, Texas. A native of Beaumont, he was raised in Vidor and moved to Jasper two years ago. He was a retired Sargent in the United States Army, and Pipe Fitter with local 195. He had served his country in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of the Vidor V.F.W. # 8246, and Triangle Baptist Church in Orangefield, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife Reba Rogers, parents Robert and Irene Rogers, and brother Jerry Rogers. He is survived by his wife Doris Curry Rogers of Jasper, son Robert Rogers, daughters, Sue Thomas and husband Randy, and Lisa Porter and husband Mike all of Vidor, brothers, Butch Rogers, and Donald Rogers, and sisters Jean Johnson, Rusty Eastwood, and Judy Nash all of Vidor, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Friday, November 12, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with Pastor Otis Broussard and Rev. Harold Nazworth officiating, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home.
