Rodney Alan Weaver

Rodney Alan Weaver passed away 10/31/15. He was born in Sistersville, West Virginia to Harry and Ilo Weaver. The family moved to Olney, TX when he was a young child. The family later moved to Iowa Park, TX where he graduated from high school and attended Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, TX. He married Vida Hildebrand in 1950 and they had two daughters; Valerie Collins of Port St. Lucie, FL and Darla Marino and husband Glenn of Vidor, one grandson, Chris Collins of Port St. Lucie, FL and one granddaughter, Madison Marino of Vidor, one brother, Richard Weaver of Kalamazoo, MI. Rodney started his career in Iowa Park with United Gas Co. and later transferred to several different towns in Texas. He retired as an engineering associate corrosion with 40 years of service in Beaumont after the company became CenterPoint Energy. He loved to travel and spend time at their cabin in Angel Fire, New Mexico. He volunteered for a time at Some Other Place. He was talented and was able to repair almost any mechanical device. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, one grandson, one granddaughter and one brother. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. At his request there will be no service and he will be cremated under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. In Lieu of flowers if you wish to make a contribution in his memory, you may direct it to First Baptist Church in Vidor.
