Roudy John Henry Odom Born April 12, 1988 in Galveston, TX Roudy Odom, a 25 year old Vidor native, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at Salmon Lake in Grapeland, TX, where he was currently residing. Viewing and visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, TX on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., also at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Loved by many, Roudy was known for his vivacious and sometimes mischievous spirit. He loved to laugh and make others laugh along, was known for an occasional practical joke, made friends no matter where he went, and loved to praise God. Given the opportunity, Roudy would help anyone having a bad day or down on their luck, even if it meant giving away the only shirt he had. He was soft-hearted, loving, caring, and full of life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Roudy is survived by mother, Tessa, and her husband Michael Cryer, of Grapeland, TX; father, Robby Odom of Vidor, TX; grandparents, Harold and Bilbie Chesser of Hemphill, TX; grandfather, John Henry Bailey of Kirbyville, TX; grandparents, Louis “Cookie” and Eileen Cook of Crystal Beach, TX; great-grandmother Ruby Jasper of Vidor, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Dalton and Randi Odom, of Mauriceville, TX; brother, K-C Dallon Odom of Port Neches, TX; Chase Odom of Orange, TX; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.” – Irish epitaph
