Ruby Mellard

Ruby Vernon Mellard, 96, died Tuesday, March 31st, 2015 in Pearland, Texas. She loved to attend her church where she was also a Sunday school teacher. Ruby loved to garden, read, but she especially enjoyed cooking. Ruby is survived by her son, William Fant of Bakersfield, CA, a sister, Marion Hughes of Nederland, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. Ruby will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.
