Shirley Faye Wood

Shirley Wood, 72, of Vidor died Monday, December 5, 2011 at Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaumont. A native of Gist, TX, she was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Shirley was a 1958 Vidor High School Graduate and was a member of Young at Heart at Turning Point Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Turning Point Church in Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin At 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Turning Point Church. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband E.J. Wood. She is survived by her sons George Fredrick Bishop III of Vidor, TX, and Thomas Wood of Granbury, TX, daughters Renee Pomonis of Beaumont, TX, and Lori Park of Vidor, TX, brother Charles Hodge of Vidor, TX 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
