Thurmon Julius Johnson

Thurmon J. Johnson, 81, of Vidor died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at his residence. Thurmon was born in Pitkin, LA, on June 26, 1928 to Charlie and Bessie Johnson. He was a longtime resident of Vidor and retired from Bethlehem Steel after 36 years as layout man. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. Thurmon is survived by his wife Phyllis McCaskill Johnson, sons Rodney Johnson of Dallas, TX, Shirrell Johnson and his wife Mary of Holly Lake Ranch, TX, and Barry Foster and his wife Stephanie of Bridge City, TX, brother James Johnson of Vidor, TX, sisters Edna Casttello of Nederland, TX, Robbie Ray Alan of Beaumont, TX, and 1 granddaughter Kayla Foster of Bridge City, TX.
