Travis Henry Jones, Sr

Travis H. Jones, Sr., 89, of Vidor died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Elizabeth, LA., he was a longtime resident of Vidor, and was a retired welder. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Davis Cemetery in Fawil, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Travis was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Ida Jones, Jr., and one grandchild. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Leura Jones, sons Travis G. Jones and James L. Jones both of Vidor, brothers H.T. Jones and J. C. Jones both of Kirbyville, sister Ada Smith of Bon Weir, two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
