Velma Ann Hanke

Velma Ann Hanke, 73, of Vidor, Texas died Monday, July 4th, 2022 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. She worked as a waitress at Don's Seafood and enjoyed fishing and crabbing in her free time. She loved to go to Holly Beach and spend time with her family. She also took up quilting as a hobby. Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. There will be a memorial service held at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Velma is survived by her husband of 42 years Erwin "Peter" Hanke of Vidor, TX, her children, Ryan Guidry of Lumberton, TX, Chris Hanke of Bogalusa, LA, Dean Guidry of Winnie, TX, and Kim LeBlanc of Rayne, LA, her brother Michael Guidry of Lumberton, TX, and her grandchildren Heather, Kirsten, Victoria, C.J., Sydney, Sebastian.
