Vickie Michelle Blackmon

Vickie M. Blackmon, 41, of groves died Friday, August 10, 2007 in Arkansas. A native of Port Arthur, TX, she was a longtime resident of Mid-County and lived in groves for the past 2 years. Vickie was a RN and attended the Glad Tidings assembly of God Church in Port Arthur. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Officiating services will be Dr. Hays and Bro. Welch. Visitation will held from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. Vickie is survived by her lifelong partner Ranee Nelson of Groves, TX, son Christopher Delcambre, Jr of Groves, TX, mother and step-father Glenda Blackmon and LA Dikes of Milam, TX, brother Billy Blackmon, Jr and his wife Deana of Orangefield, TX, special friends Gwen Beard and Nora Riojas.
