Victoria Lee Nele

September 11, 1950 — April 9, 2010

Victoria L. Nele, 59, of Vidor passed away early Friday, April 9, 2010 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Vicki was a loving, giving and devoted nurse who cared for many people throughout her life. A native of San Bernadino, CA., she has lived in Vidor for 22 years, and was a retired nurse with Accent Home Health Care. Since 1987, Vicki has been a devoted member of Grace Baptist Church in Vidor. She often enjoyed crafting, worshiping and visiting with her closest friends and family. Her kind spirit touched everyone she knew. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Vicki was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Nele and mother Betty Wendt. She is survived by her son Tony Nele and wife Ashley of Vidor, brother-in-laws Jerry Nele and B.J. Nele, nieces Donya Young and Jackie Gutherie, and Deedra LeJune, nephew Bennie Joe Nele, and great nephews Jake Young, Nicholas LeJune, and great nieces Lacy LeJune, Brooke and Sarah Nele. The family would like to give a special thanks to her dear friend, Ellen May for all of her support. Also to Dr. Gwen Lavalais and the Ben and Julie Rogers Cancer Center for all of their loving care.
