Vincent Dominick James

Vincent Dominick James, 83 of Vidor died Monday October 10th, 2022 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, TX. A native of Plaquemine, La. Vincent grew up in New Orleans and moved to Texas in 1960. A longtime resident of Vidor Vincent retired from Goodyear Chemical in Beaumont after 40 years as a mechanic and a draftsman. Vincent, a lifelong Catholic attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. He was a member of Vidor Knights of Columbus council #5789. Vincent served his country in the Army National Guard. He loved working on and restoring his classic and antique cars, shooting, visiting and helping his neighbors, Cajun music, his grandchildren and great grands. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor Tuesday October 25th from 11:00am to 1:00pm, Rosary will be at 12:30pm, funeral mass will be at 1:30pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 1600 North Main St Vidor, TX with internment at Restlawn Memorial Park to follow. Vincent the youngest of 21 children was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Barbara Ann, parents Carlo James and Lena James, and 20 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his fiance' and companion of 8 years Linda Thomas, sons Russell James and his wife Carolyn of Vidor, TX, Bobby James of Vidor, TX, and Randy James of Vidor, TX, grandchildren Jessie, Aaron, Sarah, Kristin, Kevin, Michael, Marcus, Breanna and Dalton, great grandchildren Violet and Amelia.
