William Lee Simpson

Bill Simpson, 94 of Vidor died Tuesday, August 25th, 2020 at Mid-Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Nederland. A native of Baytown, TX, he was a long time resident of Vidor. Bill was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidor. He served his country in the U.S. Air Corps during the occupation of Germany after WWII. Bill retired from Gulf States Utility Co. after 42 years in the Engineering Dept. He enjoyed hunting and traveling. Bill was a excellent knife maker. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, September 4, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Bill is survived by his son Stuart Simpson and his wife Tammy of Vidor, TX, daughter Kellye Simpson and her partner Terri Goldstein of Nederland, CO, 2 grandsons Ben Simpson of Lop Buri, Thailand, and Eli Simpson of Vidor, TX.
