Woodrow Wilson Smith

November 9, 1920 — September 19, 2018

Woodrow W. Smith, 97 of Vidor died Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 at his residence. A native of Lamerle, Texas, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Woodrow was a member of Dowlen St. Church of Christ in Beaumont. He was a heavy equipment operator and served his country during WWII in the US Army. Woodrow enjoyed to travel, garden and exercise, he stayed fit all the way into his 90's. He was very proud of all his children. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, September 24, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Woodrow was preceded in death by his wife Georgia Maurine Smith, sons Charles Ray Smith and James Smith, daughters Helen Louise Marshall, Alice Marie Reese and Linda Sue Smith. He is survived by his daughters Lenora Holst and her husband Kenneth of Vidor, TX, Rose Mathews and her husband Royce of Beaumont, TX, son Larry Smith of Cedar Park, TX, 15 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
