Alton Leonidas Chesser

ALTON L. CHESSER, 75, of Vidor died Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. A native of Beaumont, TX., he has lived in Vidor for 70 years, and was a retired maintance mechanic at Dupont for 25 years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Loyd Smith, M.D., Dr. Guerrolmo Torre, M.D., Dr. Lleldon Sweet, M.D., Dr. Jose Lozano, M.D., and Dr. George Noon, M.D.. He is survived by his wife Joyce Chesser of Vidor, TX., sons Randall A. Chesser of Vidor, TX., Lynn Chesser of Lufkin, TX., daughters Dru Ann Stewart of Prairieville, LA., Deana J. Findley of Vidor, TX., brothers: Melvin Chesser, Don Chesser, and Wayne Chesser all of Vidor, TX., Carl Chesser of Beaumont, TX., and James Chesser of Orange, TX., sisters: Loretta Byerly, Nora M. Darden, Ilene Ramsey, and Lynda Sarver all of Vidor, TX. Six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
