Arlington James Blount Jr.

Arlington James Blount Jr., 27, of Houston passed away November 29th, 2022. He was born August 23rd 1995 in Beaumont Texas to Dana Heiman LaBrie and Arlington James Blount Sr. AJ, as he was known to his friends and family, was a kind gentle soul. He would literally give the last dollar he had and the clothes off his back to the homeless. He had a passion for service and loved the Lord. He couldn’t walk by a stray animal without feeding them and trying to bring them home. His dog Buster was his life and his furbaby for the past 7 years. If you were his friend you had a friend for life. He was loyal to the core and never gave up on anyone even if they gave up on him. He was a mama's boy and everyone knew it. He got her through the most difficult times. They were inseparable and he always told her , “If you’re going through it, I’m going through it." AJ worked in construction and he had an eye for detail. He had a love for cars that started at a young age. He was in the process of looking for an older model truck to restore. He had just reunited with his long term girlfriend Dezire and they had began planning their future together. His presence will be missed for years to come. He is survived by his mother Dana LaBrie, father Arlington Blount Sr., girlfriend Dezire Davis and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he dearly loved. He was preceded In death by his Memaw Sharon Heiman; Papaw Larry Heiman; grandfather Arlington James Baptiste; grandmother Rosie B Blount; his stepfather James C. LaBrie Jr and cousin Amber Fazio. Arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. There will be a graveside service 2:00 PM Saturday, December 10th, 2022 at Mansfield Cemetery in Vidor, Texas.
