Bami Elizabeth Carmane

Bami Elizabeth Carmane passed on her property in Vidor, TX on Aug. 21st, 2025, at the age of 61. Bami was born in New Iberia, LA on Dec. 19th, 1963, to Patsy Durio and Richard Johnson. At age 17 she joined and proudly served in the US Army, afterwards becoming a nurse for 34 years until her retirement. She will be remembered for her love of nature, travel, music, and photography. Bami was a fearless spirit who always rose above adversity and uplifted all those around her. She was preceded in death by her, younger brother Ryan Johnson, older brother Richard Johnson Jr older sister Capri Hampshire, and her husband of 22 years, Don Carmane. Bami is survived by her siblings Michael Didier Jr., Robin Anderson, Rachel Stanberry, Rita Gonsoulin, her sons Brian Haney and Dylan Carmane, and her grandchildren Spencer Haney and Daelyn Carmane and numerous other relatives, friends, and pets who will always love and remember her. A memorial service will be held on Sept. 13, 2025 @ 2 PM at Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor, followed by a gathering at her house to celebrate her life, with all friends and family invited to attend.
