Belinda Louise Manuel, 71, of Orangefield, passed away peacefully at her home, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Belinda was a beloved member of the community and a longtime resident of Orangefield.

A devout member of Turning Point Church in Vidor, Belinda found solace and community in her faith. Her commitment to her church was a reflection of her compassionate and caring nature.

Belinda had a passion for the simple joys of life. She was an avid hunter and enjoyed being outdoors. In the kitchen, she showcased her love through cooking, creating meals that brought joy to those she cared for. Game nights were a special favorite, especially when victory was on her side.

Family held a special place in Belinda's heart. She found immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories during game nights and various activities. She embraced the retired life after dedicating 38 years to her role as a Respiratory Therapist. Belinda found joy in activities like going to garage sales. Her appreciation for life's little treasures made her a delightful presence to those around her.

Funeral services to celebrate Belinda's life will be held on Sunday, December 31, 2023, with a visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The funeral will commence at 2:00 PM, and interment will follow at Kirbyville City Cemetery in Kirbyville, TX.

Belinda is survived by her siblings, Michael Hayes of Ravenna, TX, and Connie Plunk of Sulphur, LA. She leaves a lasting impact on her children: Nicol Matlock and husband Mike Matlock of Orange, TX; Shane Compton of Orange, TX; Danielle Manuel and wife Catherine Braneff of Orange, TX; and honorary family member Lisa Meredith and husband Mark of Kirbyville, TX. Her memory lives on in her grandchildren: Skylar Compton, Shyanne Compton, Wyatt Compton, Ceci Wilson, Jesse Wilson, Melayni Wilson, Brittany White, and Lynn Braneff. Belinda is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Nora Pearl Hayes, father Herman Mickey Hayes, and brothers Eddie McGhee and William "Billy" Hayes.

May Belinda Louise Manuel rest in peace, and may her family find comfort in the love and memories they shared with her.
