Benjamin Earl Chase, 85, of Vidor, TX died Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, TX. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was in the ROTC at Arlington Junior College. He graduated from LaMarque High School and Lamar University with a B.A. in English and minor in Industrial Engineering. Ben was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Vidor and served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school Director, and a young married adult teacher. He loved God, his family and nature. Visitation will be Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Vidor with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Tanner Cemetery in Burkeville, TX. Ben is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Bonnie Chase, 2 sons; Mike Chase and his wife Julie of Silsbee, TX and Mark Chase and his wife Lisa of Picayune, MS, 4 grandchildren; Jeremy, AnaLisa, Morgan, and Katy, 4 great grandchildren; Baylee, Kyleigh, Damon, and Claire, brother; Fred and his wife Neva of Quinlan, TX and sister; Elizabeth McDaniel of Katy, TX. Ben was preceded in death by his parents; BF and Alice Chase. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Harbor Hospice in Beaumont or to the United Christian Care Center.
