Bertie M. Ragan, 74, of Vidor died Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Methodist Hospital Medical Center in Houston, TX. A native of Horatio, AR., she has lived in Vidor since 1982, and was a homemaker. She was a volunteer and treasurer at the United Christian Care Center in Vidor, and was a proud member of First Baptist Church of Vidor, she volunteered in the church nursery, and was a Sunday school teacher. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at First Baptist Church of Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Virgil Ragan of Trinity, TX., Richard William “Billy” Ragan of Gary, TX., and Gary Ray Ragan of Vidor, TX., daughter, Charlotte Ruth Jones of Vidor, brothers, Edgar Wright Beeson, Jr of Little Rock, AR., and Robert L. Beeson of Port Neches, TX., sister, Wanda Faye Mills of Lawrenceville, GA., eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
