Betty Jo Carolyn Ames Smith

Betty Jo Ames- Smith, 80, of Vidor died Thursday, March 16th, 2023 at Jefferson Nursing and Rehab in Beaumont, Texas surrounded by loved ones. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and devoted to the Messianic congregation. She was a retired Real Estate Agent. She enjoyed volunteering for prison ministry services, gardening, taking care of her loved ones and being a devoted Memaw. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation and services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, Sunday, March 19th, 2023 with visitation at 1:00 PM and Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the Houston National Cemetery. Betty Jo is survived by her children; Ted Pearce, Ronni Pearce, Jim Pearce and Chris Pearce; her brothers Jimmy Smith and Ronnie Smith, and her sister Amanda Smith, as well as 15 grandchildren, Elizabeth Pearce, Amanda Pearce, Traci Pearce, David Pearce, Josh Finnefrock, Joseph Finnefrock, Alex Pearce, Wes Pearce, Daniel Pearce, Taylor Pearce, Tara Pearce, Teddy Pearce, Charity Pearce, Rachel Pearce, and Jonathan Hill. She also is survived by 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Roy Edward Pearce.
