Betty Marie Rogers

February 26, 1950 — December 2, 2023

Betty Marie Rash Rogers, 73, of Mauriceville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at her residence. Betty spent her working years in Houston, but upon retiring after 33 dedicated years at Southwestern Bell, she became a cherished and longtime resident of Mauriceville. Her decision to retire was motivated by her deep commitment to caring for her parents.

Betty was a devoted member of Deweyville Baptist Church, where she found solace, community, and spiritual nourishment. Her faith was a cornerstone in her life, providing her with strength and guidance. She approached life with a sweet and sassy spirit, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her.

One of Betty's greatest joys in life was spending time with her beloved grandkids. Whether it was sharing stories, playing games, or simply enjoying each other's company, the moments she spent with them were her favorite pastime. She also had a penchant for excitement, finding joy in occasional trips to the casino where she indulged in the thrill of chance.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will take place on December 8th, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. The funeral service is scheduled for December 9th, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Deweyville Baptist Church. Betty will be laid to rest at "The Cemetery" in Mauriceville.

Betty is survived by her loving children, Sharon Skarda and husband Erik of Darlington, MD, and Michael Rogers Jr. and wife Becky of Harrison, AR. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren, Michael Rogers III and wife Alyssa, and Logan Williams and husband Everett. Betty's legacy continues through her three great-grandchildren, Graysen, Everlie, and Priscilla.

In addition to her immediate family, Betty leaves behind numerous brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces, all of whom were touched by her warmth, kindness, and love. She will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to family, her strong faith, and the joy she brought to the lives of those around her. Betty Marie Rash Rogers will be dearly missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
