Billy "Bill" Wayne Jones Jr.

Billy "Bill" Wayne Jones Jr., 53, of Vidor, Texas, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at his residence. A native of Beaumont, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor and a proud Vidorian who loved his community deeply.

Billy dedicated 35 years of service to TrinityRail, where he built not only a career but lasting friendships. He was a faithful board member of Faith Heritage Tabernacle Church, where he cherished his church family, especially the children. Billy had a servant’s heart and found great joy in helping others and being involved wherever he was needed.

He was a pitching coach for select softball, sharing his time and knowledge with young athletes. Billy also had a love for singing and was known for his dry sense of humor, steady loyalty, and quiet way of making those around him feel valued and cared for.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Katrina Jones of Vidor, Texas; his children, Jordan Jones of Bridge City, Kristianna Mae Fitzwater of Vidor, and Lee Eugene Fitzwater Jr. of Vidor; his siblings, Theresa Bowling of Port Arthur, Lara Carter of Buna, Cathy Briant of Mauriceville, Carlene Lindsey of Mauriceville, and Sondra Hammond of Vidor; and his granddaughter, Braelynn Fitzwater.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Jones Sr. and Sylvia Jones.

Billy will be remembered for his faith, his loyalty, his love for his family and church, and the many lives he touched throughout his years in Vidor.
