Bonita Gwyn Allen

September 15, 1949 — November 7, 2023

Bonita Gwyn Jedry Allen, a native of Orange, TX, and a beloved member of the Vidor community, passed away at the age of 74. Bonita's life was one filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to helping others. Her light-hearted spirit touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever remain in our hearts. Bonita was a cherished member of the Pine Forest Baptist Church and served her community as a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) throughout her career. Her passion for caring for others extended beyond her profession; she had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand. One of Bonita's greatest joys was traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing the world's beauty. She found immense happiness in spending time with her grandchildren, Kaden and Oren Snider, who were a constant source of joy in her life. Bonita is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Barry Allen of Vidor, TX, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. She is also survived by her daughters, Shana Snider and her husband Wade of Waco, TX, and Chara Paul and her husband David of Espanola, NM, who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion. Bonita's siblings, Jean Barber of Vidor, TX, Shyrlen Gillis of Mauriceville, TX, Debbie Trant of Houston, TX, and brother Willis Jedry Jr. of Gist, TX, 2 grandsons Kaden and Oren Snider, join in celebrating her life and remembering the precious moments they shared. In honoring Bonita Gwyn Allen, we remember a woman who touched the lives of many and left a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us to help others and find joy in life's simple pleasures.
