Carol June Gentry

October 28, 1945 — October 13, 2006

Carol J. Gentry, 60, of Vidor went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 13, 2006 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A lifelong resident of Vidor, she was a retired school teacher with Vidor Independent School District after 30 years of faithful service. She was a proud member of Rose City Baptist Church, and a very dedicated grandmother. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her parents E W and Bertha Richter. She is survived by her husband of 39 years Michael Gentry of Vidor, son Michael Jarrod Gentry and wife Debbie of Vidor, daughter Cassandra Michelle Boone and husband David of Katy, TX., brother Robert Richter of Katy, TX., sister Katie Hodge of Sugarland, TX., seven grandchildren: Jarrod Gentry, Courtney Boone, Carly Boone, Kristina Reeher, DeAnna Gentry, Michael Smith, and David Smith, four great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
