Carolyn Sue Barrow, 67 of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Carolyn was born May 31, 1954, in Beaumont, Texas, to her parents Forest Barrow and Hilda Beard, who have both preceded her in death. She is survived in death by Florence Johnson, her cousin and longtime caregiver, and a host of other cousins. She was a 1974 graduate of Forest Park High School of Beaumont. She then lived in Orange, Texas for many years where she worked as an engraver for the Orange OCARC Center, before moving to Vidor in 1995. The last four years she made her home at the Vidor Health and Rehab Center, which she loved. Carolyn had a good soul and a loving heart, and never forgot a face. She always cared about family and friends, and never failed to greet you with a smile. She was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church of Vidor. She dearly loved the Lord, her Bible, and her church family. She never missed a church function or a family gathering. She had a very green thumb and loved plants of every kind. Carolyn also loved animals and always had fish, birds, and cats. She never failed to feed any stray that found its way to her door. She also never failed to help anyone else in need. Her hobbies were, of course plants, but she also loved puzzles of every kind, coloring and shopping. She lived a quiet simple life, but will be missed by all who knew her. Carolyn will be laid to rest next to her parents at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont on Monday, October 4, 2021.
