Cecilia Jane Loescher

Cecilia Jane Barnhill Loescher, 89, died July 3, 2016 in Beaumont, TX. She was born in Alexandria, LA, grew up in Lake Charles, LA. and was a resident of Mauriceville, TX for thirty years. She enjoyed sewing and making dolls, crocheting and playing games with her children and grandchildren. She also loved nature, travel and her pets. Cecilia attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she served as a eucharistic minister, lector, member of the Altar Society, Legend of Mary and Dominican Laity. Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, July 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Cecilia is survived by three daughters, Linda Buck and her husband Jim of Grinnell, IA, Gail Fails and her husband Darro of Frisco, TX, and Laurie Loescher Gordon of Beaumont, TX; 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and a sister, Bonnie Haydel of Houma, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude William Loescher, a daughter, Sharon Ann Schomaker, a granddaughter, Sharon Ann Lang, a grandson, Scott Allen Simpson, a brother, Bill Barnhill and a sister, Mary Lou Stanford.
