Daniel John Browning (“Danny”)

Daniel John Browning, 72, of Vidor, lovingly known as “Danny,” passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.

A native of Niagara Falls, New York, Danny was a longtime resident of Vidor, Texas. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Transit Mix for over 20 years, a job that reflected his strong work ethic and mechanical skill.

Danny enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved hunting and fishing with his best friend, Frank Villiva. Above all, he cherished relaxing, sharing a drink, and enjoying time with his family.

Danny is survived by his wife of 44 years, Vonda Browning; his children, Christine Buxton and husband Jeremy of Lumberton, TX, Wendy Browning Cozart and husband Erik Cozart of Sour Lake, TX, and Richard Lloyd Browning and wife Amber of Sulphur, LA; and his grandchildren, Kolton, Konnor, Kylee Browning and Denise Cozart. He is also survived by his siblings, Charlene Walker and Dennis Browning and wife Cathey, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Bernice Browning and his sisters, Cheri King and Christine Felps.
