Daphne "Nell" Glennell Williams, 82, of Vidor, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, February 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
A longtime resident of Vidor, Nell was a devoted member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church, where her faith and gentle spirit were evident to all who knew her. She dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and the sweet aroma of something baking in the oven.
Nell was a talented seamstress and floral designer, gifted with hands that could turn simple materials into beautiful works of art. Whether she was stitching together something special, arranging flowers with care, or expressing herself through painting, she poured her creativity and heart into everything she did. She was especially known for her delicious pies and cakes, which became a cherished tradition at family gatherings and celebrations.
Above all, Nell treasured time spent with her family and friends. Her kindness, steady presence, and nurturing nature made her the heart of her home and a blessing to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jimmie Williams of Vidor, Texas; her son, Glen Williams and wife Bertha of Mauriceville, Texas; her sister, Faye Varner of Richmond, Texas; and her two beloved grandchildren, Morgan and Chelsea Williams.
In Lieu of flower a donation can be made to Alzheimer's Association, Hoston & Southeast Texas Chapter, 2242 W. Holcombe Blvd. Houston, TX 77030. The family would like to thank Best Hospice for the kind and compassionate care.
Nell’s legacy of faith, love, and creativity will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
